Konstantinos Th. Spyropoulos (b. 1998) is an Athens-based art historian, curator, and art critic. He holds a BA and MA from the Athens School of Fine Arts, and his research-driven practice focuses on hermetic symbolism, alchemical imagery, and metaphysical narrative in the history of art, translating these frameworks into contemporary curatorial strategies.
He is the Founder, Cultural Producer, Artistic Director, and Head Curator of the Cycladic Biennale, the largest art fair in a Greek island archipelago, hosted in the Cyclades. Across Athens and internationally, Spyropoulos has curated solo and group exhibitions and collaborates with artists and cultural institutions through curatorial development, strategic consulting, and editorial direction.
His writing spans newspapers and art magazines in Greece, where he publishes essays, criticism, and interviews on contemporary art and theory. In 2024, he introduced the term Avant-Garde Hermeticism to articulate the visual language of artists such as Marcel Duchamp, Anselm Kiefer, and Raymond Douillet, a concept he continues to expand through lectures, publications, and curatorial projects.
